First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
Ms. Richa Joshi, Managing Attorney and Founder of Abrise Legal, took a short interview on the very first day, about my previous internships, which was later followed by introducing the areas of work and the working atmosphere at Abrise.
I got really great on-ground experience which is extremely crucial for a lawyer, essential skills such and the nitty-gritties involved.
Main tasks included mostly the filing of Trademarks Application, to read the files of the different IPR law Cases. I mainly dealt with the drafting work which included the drafting of responses for examination reports, counter statement, affidavits and power of attorneys.
Also, I had drafted many agreements and learnt the procedure of filing the applications for the various IPR registrations.
Whatever the work is done supposed to submit the work to the ma’am through electronic means, i.e., via e-mail.
The work environment is really positive and makes the interns feel good about coming to work. If you are not aware of anything, you will get to learn the things here and will get guidance during the task performance. This justifies your internship to a great extent.
Ma’am was always ready and willing to help every time in my work. She also sometimes has fun with interns and tends to make the atmosphere light, yet healthy.
I was having an average experience for working in IP Law Firms but the way my mentor explained me the things I have developed my interest very soon and learned a lot many things by this internship.
The best thing is here, whatever suggestions you give during your work are valued a lot.
There are no bad things as such. You Just have to be attentive to your work here, don’t be crazy, they will train you.
Yes, it depends on your work.
Showing that you are passionate about the work will make a lasting impression that could benefit you in the future, when it comes to asking for a reference. You must have heard that nobody is perfect but if you work here you’ll know that you have to be perfect at what you do. Be well versed with your research and be prepared regarding the obvious questions pertaining to the same
Internships can be a lot of fun, so relax, get to know the new people around you and enjoy yourself!
I stayed in PG in Andheri (West), Sagar City only which is not far away from the office.
6 weeks. Generally 6 days a week. But the even sometimes Saturdays are off. (Yay!)
