My overall experience
This being my very first internship I was very nervous in the beginning, but there was many more like me and members of organisation was very supportive to interns
My major tasks at organisation were to prepare questionnaire for survey of non-school going children, took survey with team and report to organisation. Being very new to research, I was constantly helped by my team head at every point. I got the opportunity to read and research a lot.
I also took the initiative to volunteer for their event and attend some of their meetings, which helped me to network with people apart from my team.
Overall, this was an excellent experience for me. I have a come out a lot better person after this internship.
If you want to apply your skill, than go for field job.
Internship is an opportunity to acquire real life experience without any risk or loss with support of mentors, as well as friend for life.
You get to learn about many things. I personally learnt lot of things about how organisations functions and what challenges they face, how do they overcome them etc.
You can network with many people apart from your team head.
Do many works, as much you can
The more you work, the more you learn. I was happy that apart from working for legal awareness and legal aid, I experienced the develop of new team for Social Entrepreneurship in teaching profession.
Sometimes we have to work from home.
It depends on work
I live in Delhi NCR itself, so I was not worried about accommodation
