The Inaugural edition of the moot elaborates on Surrogacy being a practice where a woman gives birth to a child for an intending couple with the intention to hand over the child after the birth to the intending couple. It allowed various sections of society to conceive children including members from LGBTQ community, single parents, unmarried couples in live-in relationships, divorced individuals and couples who suffered from some form of infertility related issues.
