ILNU or Institute of Law Nirma University is organising their 1st ILNU International Mediation Competition. The registrations for the same are active till January 31st.
About the Institute
Institute of Law was established under the umbrella of Nirma University in the year 2007. The vision of the university is to promote excellence in the field of legal education and to fulfill the ever-increasing demand for quality legal professionals. ILNU offers state of art Moot court and intensive Moot Court Training from the first year and a Legal clinic for Social Outreach and Clinical Training. The Library at ILNU consists of 11,350 books, 3307 bound volumes, and has subscriptions to online databases like Scopus, Westlaw, Oxford Reports on International Law, Kluwer Arbitration Law, Manupatra, SCC, TAXMANN etc.
The ADR Committee of ILNU has been trying to push the limits to educate the upcoming generation of legal professionals to comprehend the value of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism in this fast-paced era. This competition is an integral part of the same effort and is designed to Foster the Practice of Mediation for effective dispute resolution by way of its application to a problem that bears relevance to the global scenario and to train students in the methods of alternative dispute resolution.

Students must be enrolled in a five-year integrated undergraduate law program or any other form of Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB, BCL, JD, or equivalent).
Students with practical experience of mediation outside their university are not eligible to participate as a mediator or a negotiator.
