Virtual Centre of International Law Bi-Annual Essay Competition 2015: Open for PG Students Only; Submit by May 30

Essay must be submitted by a enrolled post-graduate student of international law (LLM, MPhil or Phd)

Virtual Centre of International Law is organising its Bi-Annual Essay Competition. Submit entries by May 30, 2015.

Objective

The objective of the competition is to promote a wider understanding of international law and encourage publication of relevant and original work on the subject. A panel of family members of late Prof. R.P. Anand and eminent scholars of international law will evaluate the essays.

Submission Date

May 30th, 2015

Results (Tentative) 

Results will be announced on June 15th, 2015.

Awards

First Prize: INR 50,000/- OR USD 800

Second Prize: INR 30,000/- OR USD 500

Third Prize: INR 20,000/- or USD 300

Eligibility

Essay must be submitted by a enrolled post-graduate student of international law (LLM, MPhil or Phd) and endorsed by a sitting faculty member of the student’s university with a signed letter or direct email.

The theme of the Essay Competition for the year 2015 is Relevant to Public International Law

Submission Guidelines

a. Submissions should be sent as soft copies uploaded to the website (requires authenticated emailid and registering a userid/pw on the website) in .doc docx format only.

The essay text can also be pasted directly into an essay content field which can be done by any registered user of the website.

b. The deadline for submissions is 30th May 2015 (12 noon) and 30th November, 2015 for each respective competition.

c, The essay should be preceded by an abstract.
