The courses offered ate B.A.LL.B. and L.L.M. (one year) total intake of 60 and 30 students respectively.
The collage timings are 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. for the students of first three years. Last two years are allowed to leave at 1:30 p.m.
The department boasts some of the best teachers and academicians. Usually the faculty has doctorates or the ones pursuing Ph. D.
Student Culture and Activities
The department organises national moot court competition every year and many other workshops and legal aid clinics.
Apart from this, the students are always welcomed to participate in any of the national seminars or competition and full support is given to the students willing to go. Tours are usually organised by the students.
The Akhand Path Sahib is organised by the students of the department for the prosperity and welfare of the college as a whole.
The star nights and various other live shows are organised along with other fests.
Our university has been adjudged the best university in the field of sports for the 8th time in row so it sure has some best facilities for the sports persons with some great coaches
The college is located in the university so it of course has its own world and market where almost every thing is available starting from regular use items to mandir gurudwara sahib and a mosque.
The university is situated at a distance of almost 6.5 kms from bus stand and the railway station.
The public transportation is easily available and handy. the market across the road has almost every thing that a student might need.
The dispensary in the university and ambulance facility is available in the university for unforeseen circumstances
Placements at Punjab School of Law, Punjabi University, Patiala
Students take up internships with Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Lexis Nexis etc.
The department boasts a good number of students selected for judicial services.
The placement cell is established this year so lets hope to have better placement opportunities now.
Administration and Fees
The administration is friendly and helpful.
The minimum attendance required is 75% where the attendance of every student is displayed on the notice board at the end of the month.
The fees is around Rs. 60,000/- for one year.
The atmosphere is very friendly. You have a world of your own where every one helps every body else. It might be hard to believe but I know this being the student of this department.
The teachers are helpful and supportive.
We have our own Manupatra in the computer lab and internet facility.
The hostels are fully wifi which can be accessible by the students as well.
Cars are not allowed in the campus which makes reaching the department itself very tiring.
The wifi facilities is available, the speed is altogether a different question.
Other things about Punjab School of Law, Punjabi University, Patiala
Nothing is perfect and if anything is its just a utopia.
Taking into consideration every aspect and my experience as a whole I would suggest you to take into consideration this collage as it is one of the best collages in north India.
Apart from that it has good faculty its up to you as to how you use it.
I have seen this collage flourish in all these years. It is much more a better place.

Tell us about the infrastructure of your college
The building is good, having a separate moot court.
Classes are spacious, well stocked library and if the departmental library doesn’t serve the purpose one can always go to the main library.
The canteen is at the distance of almost 100 meters having good quality food.
The department might be small as compared to the university but it has a world of its own.
As per the hostel, the hostels are good with reasonable quality of food.
The room is often shared by 3 students, Girls are lucky to have their hostels near the department only, where they have to return by 7 in the evening.
