Name. Course. College.

Sruthi Kutty, Masters in Development Studies, University of Bombay.

Organisation. City.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, NABARD. Mumbai/Pan India.

Duration of the internship.

1-2 months.

Application procedure. Internship contact details.

I acquired it through college.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

Our team stayed in different locations at quite reasonable rates. We also stayed in NABARD/Gov. Guest houses at times.

How big was the office? Team strength?

My internship team consists of 4 members.

First impression. First day, formalities etc.

Excellent experience. Everyone at NABARD has been helpful and thoroughly professional.

Main tasks.

Video documentation of NABARD’s successful interventions. Documentary film making coupled with clear understanding of the schemes implemented.

This included documenting real life implementation of policies. That was the most adventurous part of it!

Work environment, people.

Very warm people. You get to learn a lot from everyone.

Best Things at the internship.

Travelling and meeting new people.

Bad Things.

Planning your travel/schedule is one hell of a task. But it’s a learning experience.

What did you do to chill? Co-interns, colleagues.

Travelling involves all the chilling you need. This is the best part of this internship.

Stipend.

Nope. But our stay, travel, and food expenses were paid for by NABARD.

Any Other Thing.

NABARD has been doing some exceptional work in extremely inaccessible areas. Documenting these stories have given some real solid exposure.
