First Day

Here comes the day 4th January 2016 a day to remember when my internship begins in High court of Madhya Pradesh bench at Indore. My 1st internship in any high court of the country.

Earlier to this internship I had done internship in District & Sessions court in Bhopal and Raisen & also at Hon’ble  National Green Tribunal Central Zonal Bench Bhopal.

My Experience

During the internship period at District & Sessions court, Bhopal various time I had visited State Consumer Forum, Bhopal. But the best experience which I had personally feel better at High court of Madhya Pradesh bench at Indore was seriously awesome.

As a student of law every student has a dream that at least once as a student/internee he should visit the High court and I had also that dream which I have fulfilled in this winter vacation.

After the final examination of VI semester I had decided to go high court and finally after the exam of VII semester I had go there.

Two of my best friends and I applied for internship in a firm namely Lex Maven Law Firm where already two of my seniors working as junior council.

They were give good guidance for all of us which was very necessary for us. In our Firm two Advocates Adv. Vikas Rathi sir and Adv. Akash Rathi sir (son of Hon’ble Justice Shri B.D. Rathi former judge of High court of Madhya Pradesh bench at Gwalior ) who formed the firm.

So finally the day comes 4th January when first time I have visited High Court Indore. What is decorum, discipline, what should be the standard of the court, it all things a had learn from high court. There was a no big crowd as compare to any lower court which I have seen in various lower courts.

The most attractive thing was the staff of our firm which was too frank with all of us. They told us how to work. During this tenure mostly filling of cases done by me because I became too frank with the staff of Presentation Centre a place where cases were registered such as Writ Petition, MCRC, Criminal Appeal, Civil Appeal, etc.

Another reason to go Indore for internship was the atmosphere of that city which I personally like very much the crowd of Indore and specially the FOOD.

As we all of us know that Indore is famous for their food #foodieindori. In the morning at 10 O’clock I reached the High Court.

The proceedings of cases were begin at 10:30 am but we have to take the files and putting them to the various court rooms. We had average 15 to 18 cases each day which was also a proud moment just because of this each day we visited almost all court rooms.

The most inspiring things in High Court were Hon’ble Justice. All judges inspire to me to become a judge just because of their position. For me the most inspiring Judge were Hon’ble  Shri Justice S.C. Sharma and  Hon’ble  Shri Justice D.K.Paliwal. I was too inspire with their words, way to speak, deal with advocates and their judgments.

I was too happy to watch all system was online because I also like computerized system. Allotment of dates, Filling of cases, and other works. Online system saved a lot of time.

During my internship tenure e-filling begins means now from 18th January  2016 onwards an advocate can registered his case from any where he no more need to come to the presentation centre.

He can registered his case from his home, office or from any internet café, for this once he need to registered himself to www.mphc.nic.in and once he registered he got a username and password.

After this he can registered any case and then he got a Number like Application no. which he needs to submit in the presentation centre and from this place he will got a no. for which he had applied like MCRC No. Writ Petition No. The biggest achievement of this system is that it saves a lot of time.

This is my suggestions to all the students who are perusing law should once visit High court at IIIrd year which will made them for vision for their life. This internship totally changed my mind.

Now I would like to become a lawyer in high court. During this internship each night we had go for fun with my friends and college seniors. We went to Ujjain, Sarafa Bajar, 56, almost all malls of the city in night after the office hours.

In short this is my best internship experience ever. This internship gave me various unforgettable memories which I had spend with my seniors and the staff.

This entry has been submitted for the LexisNexis-Lawctopus Internship Experience Writing Competition 2015-2016. iPleaders is the learning partner for this competition.

I interned at this firm ; and it was one of the horrible experience ever. These guys claim on their website that they are a corporate law firm; but deals with paltry matters of bail, property and Consumer law.
Further, even among these law areas; the intern is given only clerical work such as arranging files, carrying their bags and other mundane work.
Furthermore, They does not make provisions for a cup of tea even for their own associates; leave aside the interns.
The Partners ; if you ask much just assign a file to read; but would never follow-up with you and would evade you if you ask questions/ doubts.
It was my experience; you can test your luck.

  2. Another sad story. says:

I am there with you at this internship. This was not an happy firm. I am not liking any work this people give me. I am not clerk, I am perusing law and not b.comb.
    Not thank you. Fake exprince.
