Faculty and Academics at Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law

Our college has extremely qualified core faculty as well as visiting faculty. Many lectures are conducted by practicing advocates, including Supreme Court speakers giving students more exposure to legal industry.

Course is standard as per Mumbai University norms (3 Year). Lectures are conducted as per the norms.

Student Culture and Activities

There’s a mixed crowd of students.

Our college encourages us to participate in various moot courts and guide us.

We have in house Moot courts to guide us for the future.

There is a fresher party every year.

Also Industrial Visit to Supreme Court takes place.

We also have visits to various Police Station, Forensic Department, Court visits.

The faculty is down to earth and can be approachable during college hours.

Location

Lala Lajpatrai College of Law is located near the famous race course. It’s 10 minutes distance from Mahalaxmi Station.

There are few educational Institutes around and it’s in the lane of government colony.

There’s ample space for parking depending on the time you come.

There’s global famous Raju Sandwich and our college canteen. 10 minutes distance is NSCI if you are a member you can chill there.

There’s a computer lab and a big library. 10-15 minutes is S&F hotel.

There’s so much action happening around you will be kept entertained

Placements at Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law

There’s a special cell for placement though I have not used it since I got my internship already.

Administration and Fees

Non-teaching staff is also extremely approachable and efficient.

They have a in house bank and all queries are promptly answered.

Fees are approximately Rs. 13,000 – 15,000 which seems reasonable considering the fact that it is a professional course and the college has extremely good facilities.

Good things

The fact that they go beyond the simple lectures to teach us is really good.

They invite speakers to guide us, who interact with us, listen to our suggestions.

Bad things

Nothing that I can think of.

Other things about Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law

The timings are of 7.20 am – 11 am so working and attending college becomes hectic.

Tell us about the infrastructure of your college

The college is huge, it is spread across 5 floors.

Infrastructure is excellent with state of the art classrooms (air-conditioned), a well-equipped Library, one canteen on the ground floor and many there’s Raju sandwich and mafco.

Two washroom units on the same floor which are reasonably well kept.

Attendance is a mandatory 75% if you wish to appear for exams.
