SFLC.IN (Software Freedom Law Center) is a New Delhi based Non Profit organisation that provides pro-bono legal representation and other law-related services to protect and advance Free, Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) and to protect digital civil liberties of the citizens of India.
Lawyers who have a keen interest in civil liberties, intellectual property rights law and technology laws and who have a desire to defend the digital freedom of citizens may apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drafting writ petitions;
- Legal analysis of policies and legislations in the area of Information Technology law, Copyright law, Patent law and Internet Governance;
- Writing articles and blog posts on issues such as privacy, freedom of speech and expression, patents, copyright
Providing legal opinion to developers of free software on issues relating to copyright, trademarks and patents.
