FIRST IMPRESSION, FIRST DAY FORMALITIES, INFRASTRUCTURE

First Impression? I remember I walked into the office on the first day of my internship There is a separate conference room for interns. I was asked to sit and wait there by the staff. There, on the walls of the conference room itself I saw a number of news articles, Court judgements as well as some reports along with some statistics related to Animal abuse and Animal rights in India, whole of that was looking like some sort of an action plan.

Later I was told that Sir Mr. Anupam Trtipathi is a hardcore animal lover, and also had a number of pending PILs & SLPs in the Hon’ble High Courts and the Hon’ble Supreme Court. Being an animal lover, I was really impressed.

MAIN TASKS

The main tasks were research, drafting and preparing case notes and regular court visits. The good part of the internship with The Practice was that you are loaded with a lot of work. You would get every kind of exposure there, from working on family matters, consumer cases, corporate cases, animal rights cases etc. It was a great learning experience overall.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PEOPLE

Good and extremely positive working environment and all the associates were also very helpful.  The long hours turned out to be quite frustrating at times, but it was really good to know that much responsibility was being given to me.

BEST THINGS

The main objective of the internship is to learn and get to know the field, before you actually enter into the same and that was the best part of The Practice. Here, you get the mentor like Mr. Anupam Tripathi Sir, who in my opinion is the best teacher in the world. Despite the lack of time he was always ready to give guidance to you.

At Practice, everyone is given a chance to prove themselves and come forward to lead. It was the first ever internship experience for me, and I believe, it will be the best for a very long time.

BAD THINGS

Only bad thing about the internship that I remember was the entry procedure to the office. First we had to mark the entry in the register at the main gate and then at the reception, was really tiring.

STIPEND

Rs. 4500/-

BIGGEST LESSONS

Learnt a lesson from the Sir Anupam Tripathi himself. He always used to say while briefing and drafting that one should always give extra attention in the facts, because God lies in the detail and so does the Devil.
