First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I was introduced to the members of the firms and was explained about my tasks.

Main tasks

I did research on provisions of CPC and family law. I accompanied the members to High Court, Family Court and the Dispute Resolution Centre. I also drafted sale deeds and prepared case notes from AIR manual.

Work environment and people

The work environment was professional. Everyone encouraged me to complete me the assigned work efficiently within the given time limit.

Best things

As the firm deals in different areas I learnt about civil law, criminal law, procedural law etc. and improved my research skills.

Bad things

If you are willing to learn and work hard, you may be a little disappointed, as on some days, there was no work except typing case notes.

Stipend

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

I learned how courts actually work.

Discovered my interests towards litigation.

Accommodation

I stayed in a PG in Coxtown area. I booked it online I was provided the provided the contact of the hostel manager through the website. The stay was overall comfortable and economical.

Office Timings

10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Weekends were off.
