Application Process

I applied for internship via email on the mailing id of the firm which is [email protected]

I got a reply within a week regarding my internship and it was confirmed. I had applied much before the time slot in which I wanted to intern.

Duration of internship and timings

Duration of internship was 1 month. From July 1 to July 31 2013.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I had heard quite much about Jus Juris from a senior who had interned there. The office location is Jangpura which is good. The office space is quite spacious and each of the three partners have their individual cabins in the office.

The infrastructure of the office is good and has a nice working atmosphere.

On the first day I was asked to report in the chambers of the firm at Tis Hazari Court ( chamber Number X14 A) and one of the associates of the firm briefed me with the work I had to do and I was asked to submit a hard copy of my CV.

Main tasks

The main tasks were accompanying the partners of the firm or the associates in various court proceedings and witness them. I was also asked to do clerical works like typing and filing of cases.

One the major tasks was to do research work on the cases being handled by the firm which was quite interesting as I got a deeper insight into practicality of law and to read interesting cases and case laws.

Work environment and people

The work environment was quite positive and good. The colleagues were very friendly and helping. The associates always helped me in doing the tasks assigned to me.

The partners of the firm were also very interactive and taught me new things.

Best things

The best thing was going to court and the feeling of being a lawyer.

I got to learn a lot within a short period of my internship. The Jus Juris internship was my first internship and was totaly a different feeling all together.

Biggest Lessons

The biggest lessons were the hard work and patience that is required to become a good lawyer and the level of intellect and activeness which was required.

My outlook towards the profession changed a lot after internship and I started seeing legal profession with a different insight.
