Interning at district court is not a difficult take one can easily find some lawyers at their place and i got a lawyer with my father’s reference.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

I was bit afraid on my very first day when I went to the chamber of lawyers but Advocate Ranjan Sir introduced me to other lawyers and I found myself comfortable later on.

Main tasks

Study and Draft Criminal Matters.

Study and assist in Motor Accident Claim Tribunal Cases (MACT).

Work environment and people

Work environment was positive and helpful people were always ready to make you learn new things.

Best things

Practical application of law is quite different from what we study in closed doors of classes.

Bad things

Lot of strikes by lawyers therefore poor people suffered a lot.

Stipend

Rs. 3000 – 4000

Biggest Lessons

Doing internships at district court and high courts were one of my best experience and I got to know many new concepts, process and ideas.

Working with seniors make you more punctual and adamant to do things gives you new experience and many things to grasp.

Accommodation

At home my family was in Allahabad so I stayed with my family during internship.

Office Timings

9 am – 5 pm as I just finished my first year during my first internship so I was allowed to take leave early from the court.
