Name of Organisation, City?
Brainstorm Legal Advocates, Hyderabad
Duration of internship?
How big was the office? Team Strength?
Brainstorm Legal has a small law office with a total team of 7 members working in the office.
Application Procedure? Internship contact details?
The application required a cover letter, resume and an essay as to why I’m interested to intern with the firm.
Timings? Number of working days per week?
11am-4pm. 6 days per week.
First Impression? First day? Formalities?
On my first day, I was introduced to everyone at the office. I was told that the timings were flexible and was asked about my work preferences.
Most of my work included drafting legal notices, finding cases online and typing out public notices. Apart from this, I learnt how to file suits in competent courts. Since Brainstorm Legal is a small place you get a lot of work.
Work Environment? People?
Everyone was warm and friendly. I could approach anyone whenever I had doubts and they created a learning environment.
I was always explained about how to do things before actually being given the work.
What did you do to chill? Co-interns?
There were no other interns but the everyone usually took long breaks and ate lunch together.
I could closely observe how a law office works in dealing with the clients and was familiarised with most of the procedures in courts.
