The organisation people came to our college which required us to write a paragraph on a given topic. Selected entries made through the internship process.

Contact details can not be shared due to requested confidentiality of the PR department of the above said organisation.

Duration of internship and timings

7th November 2013- 6th December 2013

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Our orientation was held at BJP Headquarters, Delhi. Not to forget we had Delhi legislative elections in December in the same year.

Now, you can imagine all the souring political temperature in that bone chilling Delhi winters.

We were to submit our CV with Voter id/ Aadhar card as an identity proof. I don’t think, I need to mention about infrastructure.

Main tasks

As we were in the election office, we had to keep a track of the activities of the rival candidates.

Sometimes we were transferred to other constituencies as well. We were designated different constituencies considering the travelling distance from our respective residential areas.

We were to give inputs for the speech of our leader after going through the speeches delivered by then PM candidate NaMo and other major national leaders.

Work environment and people

If you hate politics then this is certainly not your place but if you believe in networking then this is THE place, my friends.

You get to meet people from every walk of life.

Caveat: Do not look into the private cabin/cubicles in the office.

Stipend

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

Never underestimate the power of a common man. We lost that seat to debutant AAP candidate in spite of all our hard-work and confidence. Election law is something which can not be learnt in a fortnight.
