Anonymous

Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength

Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co., Delhi, 65 partners and 250 Associates

Application Process

I got the internship through my contacts.

As it is the No. 1 law Firm of India so I don’t know the exact application process.

But before providing you the internship they send you an 8 page Questionnaire through a confidential mail and you have to fill that questionnaire and send back to them then only you get the internship.

Here the the contact details:

Office Address: 216, Amarchand Towers, Okhla Industrial Estate – Phase III, New Delhi 110 020

Duration of internship and timings

I did the internship for the period of two weeks.

The official timings were 09:30 a.m. to 06:30 p.m.

Your team can make you stay after 06:30 p.m. also but it happens very rarely.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On first day you have to reach at office by 10.00 a.m. with your internship letter with Two Passport Photographs, Last Mark sheet and proofs of previous internships.

The concerned person gives you all the details about the firm and working style and you are assigned with one team to work with as I was assigned with Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team.

The infrastructure was very good.

Main tasks

The main task which is assigned to interns is only research and research.

Associates make interns to do research on various legal propositions.

Apart form research work there is nothing to do for the interns.

Work environment and people

Working environment was decent.

Research work made the experience a bit boring.

Best things

The best thing was excess to end numbers of legal portals.

While research you can access as many number of legal portal as you can to make your research authentic.

Bad things

Interns only get research work.

They assign the interns with the team according to their own priority and not according to the interests of interns.
