First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Well I was quite nervous but my advocate was really nice and other juniors working under him were very humble. They briefed me about the procedure that is followed in court.

Main tasks

Basically I read all the briefs of the cases that had to be presented in the court and made the pointers. I administered my lawyer in all the courts. With the other juniors under sir I went to court and applied for bail and for the next date of case where in it was required.

Work environment and people

Work environment was healthy. Initially I was nervous but with the time i started enjoying the work.

Best things

What I really learnt in my internship was how to write judgement, how the procedure goes about in the court and read about different acts such as NDPS, etc.

In the district court what I basically observed was the basic ground level functioning of the courts.

Bad things

At times it becomes difficult for girls to work in court with the all sought of people around such as criminals etc,it is not very comfortable.

Stipend

Nothing

Biggest Lessons

That there is so much more to learn, life is a learning experience.

District courts actually show you the ground level functioning.
