Internship @ Advani & Nehru, Pune: You don’t feel that you are merely an intern

Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength

Advani & Nehru, Pune

Team Strength: 7

Application Process

The law firm is a merger of two of the very reputed law firms namely Advani & Co and Nehru & Co.

So, basically I had applied to Advani & Co and had specified Pune as my preference.

I had got the email id from Lawctopus itself which is [email protected]&co.com. For more details one can log on to www.advaninehru.com

Duration of internship and timings

Duration: I interned for 4 weeks at Pune office. The office timing was 11am to 7 pm on Monday to Friday and on Saturday it was 11 am to 2 pm.

Sometimes they leave the interns early if the assigned work is completed on time 🙂

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

Advani and Nehru was quite simple when talking about its first impression over me. There were no such first day formalities to be fulfilled. They make you work right from the first day.

The partners and associates there were very humble and helpful.

Main tasks

Research work
Assisting in framing of arguments
Drafting

Work environment and people

There was 1 senior partner, 1 partner and 4 associates there. The interns were taken care by the partner Mr. Amol Nehru who is an amazing person. He guided me, pointed out the things missing in my research, motivated the interns.

The other associates at Advani and Nehru are also quite helpful. You ask them a million doubts and they don’t get irritated.

Best things

The best thing was that the partners and associates there do not make you feel that you are ‘merely an intern’. They are very sweet they appreciate your work and most important the don’t neglect you.

An intern is given full opportunity to give his/her suggestions and be creative.

Bad things

There was no bad thing which I could point out.

Advani and Nehru is an amazing law firm for would- be lawyers to learn and gain experience.

Stipend

No stipend

Biggest Lessons

To put in your heart in whatever work you get. That is how you learn, gain experience and improve upon yourself.
