GNLU Puts in Rs. 2.5 Cr Worth of Scholarships and Funding to Attract Top CLAT Talent

To attract bright meritorious new students, give a significant boost to international exchange of students and co-curricular activities, and recognize and consolidate research culture in students, through 20 various programs and activities, the Gujarat National Law University has allocated 2.15 crore Rs in 2014-15 budget, as follows:

1) 50 scholarships for first 40 rank holders and 10 rank holders in UG and PG respectively. The first 20 and 21-40 rank holders in UG will get 100% and 50% tuition fee waiver in the first year and the first 5 and 6-10 rank holders in PG category will get 100% and 50% tuition fee waiver in the first year;

Ed’s note: Please note that it’s not a full fee waiver, but a tuition fee waiver.

2) 10 students from UG, 2 students per each batch and 2 students from PG will be selected as Student Research Associates (SRAs) and may get as much as 100% tuition fee waiver for 2014-15 year. GNLU has instituted SRAs scholarships since 2012 and each year 12 students (10 from UG and 2 from PG) are selected as SRAs who provide research, organizational and other assistance to faculty members and the University as a whole;
