The workshop will explore the current debate and political contest around land and development in the wake of promulgation (and subsequent withdrawal) of land ordinance and farmers – workers struggles that followed; illusion of Public – Private – Partnerships; framing of corporate friendly rules and policies by State governments; on-going agrarian crisis and farmers suicides and long forgotten agenda of land reforms.

​A Jeevan Vidya workshop is an intensive 40-hour learning experience that seeks to bring one’s attention to neglected and subtle facets of life; issues related to interpersonal relations, education, society, environment, aspirations, success are discussed and participants are provided critical tools to help them explore the rich web of connections between seemingly disparate aspects of life. It is a process of guided introspection, of ‘doing philosophy’ rather than studying it.​
